Ghanaian Musician Adez Reportedly Dies

Ghanaian musician Adez, known in real life as Victoria Nana Adezoa Stokes, has reportedly died. News of the musician’s death began circulating on social media on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with tributes from friends, colleagues and fans emerging shortly after.


One of the early confirmations came from her former colleague and fellow TV3 Mentor Season 2 contestant, Nii Soul, who shared a tribute to Adez online. Adez gained national recognition after representing the Western Region in the second season of TV3’s Mentor, one of Ghana’s popular music reality television shows during its early years.


Originally from Takoradi, Adez became one of the contestants associated with the memorable second season of the competition, which provided a platform for several young Ghanaian musicians to showcase their talents to a national audience.


During the competition, Adez also featured in a song representing the Western Region alongside fellow contestants Kofi and Joe. The regional song became one of the notable musical projects associated with the season. Her reported death has since prompted an outpouring of memories from people who followed her journey during and after Mentor Season 2.
